You are cordially invited to attend the 2007 MNIUG Fall Conference. This conference begins where our Spring conference left off, bringing you four keynote speakers, two from Innovative and two from the Open Source community.

It's a day of opportunity to discover new Innovative products and services, learn how other Innovative libraries are integrating different commercial software with III, and get to know more about libraries and consortiums that are migrating to Koha and Evergreen open source solutions.

      Innovative:

  • Innovative's Bill Easton will be presenting the 2007 Release new features and products, including ENCORE.
  • Innovative's Suzanne Conboy, Eproducts Specialist, will present III's Eproducts Suite: ERM, Research Pro, Innovative's Federated Search product, and WebBridge.

ENCORE is a "...dynamically generated tag cloud based on subject headings in each current results set, localized Did you mean? suggestions, and the first three faceted search aspects: format, language, and collections (by location or content)...."

         Koha Zoom:

WALDO [Westchester Academic Library Directors Organization] Consortium's Executive Director, John Stromquist, will discuss WALDO's process of initiating a decision to move from Ex Libris to LibLime's Koha Zoom. John's presentation expands Joshua Ferraro's Liblime presentation, " Open Source Library Automation, All Grown Up," from our Spring 2007 MNIUG conference, bringing the user experience and process to us in an up-close and personal manner.

      Evergreen:

Equinox Software, a company providing open source ILS solutions using Evergreen.

  • Jason Etheridge,Equinox Software, is one of the initial (and current core) developers of Evergreen. Jason's focus is on the staff interface. He was with GPLS as a software developer and cohort for their system administrator before Evergreen, and later formed Equinox with the GPLS system administrator and other Evergreen core developers. Jason will discuss the history of Evergreen and how it works, the modules available, and give a tour, etc.

  • Tim Daniels, PINES Program Manager, Georgia Public Library Service (Evergreen User), will discuss their decision to move the PINES member libraries to Evergreen, the decision-making process and the migration experience.
